As Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Askuala Link, I lead the strategic direction, innovation, and growth of a rapidly scaling edtech company transforming school management and parental engagement across Ethiopia.
Since July 2023, I’ve overseen product development, business expansion, and partnerships with 16+ schools and 13,000+ students, including collaboration with the Mastercard Foundation. Under my leadership, Askuala Link has evolved into a comprehensive school communication and learning management platform integrating AI-powered tools, SMS-based parent alerts, digital certificates, and gamified student learning systems.
Key achievements include:
- Launching Askuala Link in multiple schools, including Bahir Dar University STEM Center.
- Leading a 7-person developer team and technical support units in multiple regions.
- Building strong government and institutional partnerships to enhance education access.
- Introducing scholarship eligibility systems based on student performance points.
- Designing scalable technical infrastructure for 100,000+ concurrent learners.
