I build AI-enabled mental health systems for underserved communities in the United States and Africa, with a focus on earlier detection, clinical decision support, and scalable care delivery.
I am the Co-Founder and CEO of TQIntelligence, a digital mental health company developing Voice AI and provider-facing clinical decision-support tools to improve psychiatric screening, triage, and outcome monitoring. TQIntelligence’s work has focused heavily on pediatric and youth mental health, measurement-based care, and the use of voice analysis to help identify psychiatric severity earlier and more objectively, in ways that can support—not replace—clinical judgment.
I also co-founded AYA-Innovation in Ethiopia to extend this mission into African health systems and low-resource settings where trained mental health professionals are scarce. AYA-Innovation focuses on post-conflict trauma, maternal mental health, workplace wellness, and community-based care. Through ClarityConnect and Clarity AI, AYA is developing a provider-mediated platform that combines 30-second Voice AI screening, bounded agentic decision support, referral workflows, follow-up monitoring, and de-identified dashboards for programs, providers, and health-system partners.
My work is grounded in clinical psychology, trauma-informed care, computational psychiatry, and implementation science. Across TQIntelligence and AYA-Innovation, my goal is to help frontline providers, health systems, NGOs, universities, governments, and corporate partners detect psychiatric symptoms and distress earlier, route people to appropriate support, and make mental health care more accessible, measurable, culturally responsive, and scalable.
I am especially interested in partnerships that advance ethical, human-in-the-loop AI for mental health in low-resource and underserved communities, particularly where technology can strengthen existing providers and systems rather than replace them.
